Group Psychotherapy
for Men
Overcoming Sex Addiction
In a confidential, supportive, small group,
facilitated by a clinical psychologist,
learn to make connections with others and
to rely on close, trusting relationships
instead of self-destructive, addictive behavior
in coping with the stress and challenges of life.
Men in the group work together toward:
Ø Gaining freedom from sexual
obsession and compulsive behavior.
Ø Developing honesty with yourself and others.
Ø Reducing shame and regaining self-respect.
Ø Learning to accept, love, and laugh at ourselves.
Ø Examining underlying beliefs and attitudes about
sex, relationships, and gender roles.
Ø Understanding maladaptive reactions by finding the
roots in our childhood experiences.
Ø Overcoming social anxieties and inhibitions.
Ø Recognizing and reducing obstacles to intimacy --
in the group, in friendships, and in romantic relationships.
Ø Relearning playful, healthy sexual expression.
"Groups meet on Wednesday evenings in Berkeley."
The fee is $45 / week.
